It’s Time To Trust Your Body Again.

“Trust” is defined as the firm belief in the reliability, truth, ability, or strength of someone or something.

What if I told you your body has the ability to truly recover from old injuries dating back to even your childhood?

What if I told you that your body has been constantly adapting around that injury ever since it happened?

What if what you are now experiencing has been a domino effect of that first initial trauma to the system?

You see, our bodies are complex systems that are built to adapt and move on as quickly and efficiently as possible. When we do not address these adaptations (long term) the efficacy of our system diminishes over time. Leading you to injury after injury with no true trust that you will not “do it again”.

Why this seems to happen over and over again is you only address the most recent issue to pop up and think that those old things have NOTHING to do with what’s currently going on. I hate to break it to you, but unless it’s a freak accident it probably does have something to do with that old ankle sprain from 6th grade.

Our body and mind automatically keep a constant database of what to avoid/not do to insure we do not injure ourselves in that manner again. Amazing in the short term, but detrimental long term. Over time this results in layers and layers of protective mechanisms to “keep us safe”. Giving us a very small window of opportunity to gain systemic strength.

We chalk up this process to “old age,” and from what I have seen AND experienced this has nothing to do with that. It has to do with ignoring every underlying issue that has been there all along.

Losing your freedom of movement and the ability to do things does not have to be your reality over time.

Trusting your body to do the things it once did is difficult after injury, but it can shift the moment you decide to do something about it.

You have a choice…

Move better and allow your body to adapt to appropriate stimuli.

OR

Continue to do the same things you’ve been doing with the same expected result.

I’ve been there. I have also helped a lot of people clear the space of ‘it hurts to do this’ to a lifestyle they never thought possible living.

My desire to ensure everyone knows there is a different way to live and experience life is my top priority.
